NATURAL REMEDIES AGAINST THE HEAT

To prepare you for the baking summer heat – whether you are at home, in the office, in the city or at the seaside – here are some natural tips for enduring high temperatures!

Natural Remedies Against the Heat

In winter, we impatiently await it, but when it finally arrives, we immediately look for a remedy to withstand it. The summer heat puts everyone to the test.

Insomnia, sweat, decreased concentration, a feeling of tiredness and heaviness are some of the most common symptoms that accompany heat and sultry weather.

Air conditioners and fans can give a little relief, however they may be detrimental to our health due to the temperature difference with the outside. To prepare you for the baking summer heat – whether you are at home, in the office, in the city or at the seaside – here are some natural tips for enduring high temperatures!

Stretching is key!

To avoid the typical feeling of heaviness that accompanies the summer heat, well-being starts with the legs. The ideal remedy? Water. At the sea, go for walks along the shore with your ankles in the water. At home, fill a basin with warm water and melt a handful of salt, a handful of bicarbonate and a few drops of tea tree essential oil for immediate relief. In the office you can take advantage of the breaks to leave your desk and stretch your legs to avoid swelling and numbness.

Anti-heat tisanes

Good hydration is the secret to fighting the mugginess of the summer months. As well as following the classic advice of 2 liters of water a day, you can play around with herbs to create natural and refreshing tisanes. Mint, thyme, anise and coriander: with a mix of herbs, you can make infusions and leave them to cool in the refrigerator. A homemade alternative to sugary and carbonated drinks.

And for a creative twist try sassy water!

Freshness on a plate...

In addition to taking plenty of fluids to stay hydrated, opt for simple, low-processed foods as the basis of a diet focused on lightness and freshness. Fruits and vegetables should always be part of summer cuisine, which is full of vitamins, minerals and... colors. And if you can’t resist an aperitif, choose natural and pleasantly refreshing recipes, such as beetroot gazpacho…

….and raise a toast to this hot summer!
