WHO WE ARE

OUR HISTORY, OUR TOMATOES

Pomì was founded in 1982 in the province of Parma and immediately became an icon thanks to its innovative packaging: the carton brick that makes it easy to recognize the tomato sauce in any country to which it is exported.
Today, Pomì is synonym of: a controlled supply chain, Italian quality, tomato traceability, sustainability of the production and transformation processes.
In fact, Pomì is produced with the tomato of 560 farming companies belonging to the Casalasco - Società Agricola S.p.A., cultivated on over 7,600 hectares between Cremona, Parma, Piacenza and Mantua in the North of Italy, at an average distance of 50 km from the processing establishments.

Our tomato is 100% Italian, cultivated respecting the environment and the health of our consumers.

TRACEABILITY

POMÌ IS SYNONYM OF CONTROLLED SUPPLY CHAIN

The tomatoes cultivated by Casalasco - Società Agricola S.p.A. are grown from selected seeds, cultivated in the municipal districts of Cremona, Parma, Mantua and Piacenza in Northern Italy. Pomì is the result of 100% Italian and GMO free tomatoes, careful to ensure not only the health of its consumers, but also respect for the environment.
Pomì reduces the environmental impact of farming by carefully managing the irrigation and adopts integrated defense regulations to respect biodiversity.  Thanks to Pomìtrace, a modern and unique traceability system, Pomì ensures that each consumer can trace the product from the store shelf to the field where the tomatoes were grown.

100% italian
Pomì is part of Casalasco - Società Agricola S.p.A., the first supply chain in Italy for the farming and processing of tomatoes.
560 farming companies, split over 7,600 hectares in the heart of the Po Valley.

Certified Sustainability
Pomì is guarantee of a healthy and safe product, 100% Italian and 100% sustainable, from the environmental, economic, ethic and social stand points.
We work on sustainability from every angle to make the farming and processing of the tomatoes always more sustainable.

Farming
We have adopted precision agriculture, tools and predictive models to protect the territory, fertirrigation systems that allow saving up to 25% of water.
We apply highly restrictive integrated production regulations. We monitor all the phases of the production - cultivation, harvesting, assignment and processing - with a responsible approach to the territory and the health of consumers.

Processing
We save energy in every phase of production, limiting carbon dioxide emissions.
We apply scrupulous waste management and we work in compliance with high standards of environmental management and food safety.

Packaging
Even the trees thank Pomì!
For our carton bricks we exclusively choose FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified packages, paper from renewable forests, managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards.

The search for quality
Knowing how to meet the needs of consumers, even the most unique, is very important. For this reason, from Pomì research the L+ line was born with a new tomato sauce and tomato juice with intense organoleptic characteristics, prepared with Italian tomatoes that by nature have 50% more lycopene.

HISTORY

OUR
ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS

Modern, practical, new, tasty, healthy and genuine.
The innovative image of the product was expressed by an extremely effective slogan, becoming a myth in itself: O così. O Pomì.
It was the brilliant intuition of the Pirella & Göttsche advertising agency, which in 1984 launched Pomì with a memorable slogan, concise, strong and immediate.
The choice quickly became a winning one: O così. O Pomì.
A slogan that marked an era.
This was also thanks to the very popular "commercial TV" which came to be in those years, and the slogan entered into the common language.
Fans of "Drive In", a popular broadcast of the '80s, will certainly remember the catchphrase, repeated at every episode by the comedians of the program.
The slogan became an icon
The strength of Pomì went well beyond that of its slogan, expanding beyond national borders and conquering a space in movies, television shows and moments of public life in the past three decades.
In 1987, we would see it in the movie “Wall Street” by Oliver Stone, next to a beautiful Daryl Hannah.
In the '90s, it was a guest even on "Friends", the famous sit-com that launched Jennifer Aniston's career.
Pomì is exactly as you see it: only tomato without additives.
The strength of the brand lies in its significant presence in the contemporary collective imagination over three decades, vivid and well defined in its value of quality and naturalness.
O così. O Pomì is still a saying used by everyone, synonym of strength, transparency, straightforwardness and honesty.
