WHO WE ARE

OUR HISTORY, OUR TOMATOES

Pomì was founded in 1982 in the province of Parma and immediately became an icon thanks to its innovative packaging— the carton brick, which makes the tomato sauce easily recognizable in any country where it is exported.
Today, Pomi is synonymous with Italian quality, controlled supply chain, tomato traceability and sustainability of production and transformation processes.
In fact, Pomi tomatoes are grown from selected seeds cultivated by Casalasco - Società Agricola S.p.A on over 11,000 hectares between Cremona, Parma, Mantua and Piacenza, in Northern Italy. Fields are located at an average distance of 50 km from processing establishments to guarantee the freshest quality.

Our tomatoes are 100% Italian, cultivated to respect the environment and the health of our consumers, while bringing a burst of flavor to each dish.

POMI IS SYNONYMOUS WITH ‘SUSTAINABILITY OF PRODUCTION AND TRANSFORMATION PROCESSES’

Pomi cares about its social responsibility. Pomì reduces the environmental impact of farming by carefully managing the irrigation and adopts integrated defense regulations to respect biodiversity. Thanks to Pomìtrace, a modern and unique traceability system, Pomì ensures that each consumer can trace the product from the store shelf to the field where the tomatoes were grown.

100% Italian
Pomì is part of the Casalasco - Società Agricola S.p.A, the first supply chain in Italy for the farming and processing of tomatoes.
There are 800 farming companies distributed between 11,000 hectares in the heart of the Po Valley.

Certified Sustainability
Pomi guarantees healthy and safe products that are 100% Italian and 100% sustainable from environmental, economical, ethical and social stand points. We work on sustainability from every angle to continuously improve the farming and processing of the tomatoes.

Farming
We have adopted precision agriculture, tools and predictive models to protect the environment and fertigation systems that allow us to save up to 25% of water. We apply highly restrictive integrated production regulations and monitor all the phases of the production - cultivation, harvesting, assignment and processing - with a responsible approach to the land and the health of consumers.

Processing
We save energy in every phase of production, limiting carbon dioxide emissions.
We apply scrupulous waste management and we work in compliance with high standards of environmental management and food safety.

Packaging
Even the trees thank Pomì!
For our carton bricks, we exclusively choose FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified packages and paper from renewable forests. Packaging is managed according to strict environmental, economical and social standards.

The search for quality
Knowing how to meet the needs of consumers, even the most unique, is very important. For this reason, with Pomi research, the L+ line tomato juice with intense organoleptic characteristics. Both products are prepared with Italian tomatoes that by nature have 50% more lycopene.
